Par5 website
Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 25, 2026. This notice covers this website and the Founding 500 waitlist. Par5 is a golf GPS and caddie app from Oryon9. The app has its own privacy policy, which will be published with it.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your email address, and your first name if you give it.
- Which phone you use (Android or iPhone), and how you heard about Par5 if you tell us.
- If you arrived through a friend’s share link, their share code, so we know the waitlist was shared. If you arrived from a campaign link, the campaign tags in it (such as “utm_source”).
- When you joined, that you accepted this notice, whether you asked for marketing email, and which version of the form’s wording you agreed to.
- A share code of your own, so you can invite friends.
Counting visits
To see how many visitors join the waitlist, the site counts page visits and clicks on the “Join” buttons. Each browser tab gets a random number that is stored only for that tab and is deleted when you close it. With it we record the page, the website you came from (its domain only) and any campaign tags. We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or outside analytics services. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, your visits are not counted.
If you join, your signup is linked to that tab’s random number, so we can tell a visit that led to a signup.
Course search
The Courses page looks courses up directly from your browser. What you type, or your approximate location if you choose “Find courses near me”, goes to OpenGolfAPI (course details), and aerial photos load from the U.S. Geological Survey. Town names are looked up in a list that comes with the site. Those services receive your IP address and the search; their own privacy policies apply. Par5 does not store your searches or your location.
Why we use it
- To run the Founding 500 waitlist and email you when founding memberships open. This is why you joined.
- To understand which channels bring golfers to Par5.
- To send you Par5 news and offers, only if you ticked that box. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Joining the waitlist does not create a Par5 account, start a subscription or take a payment.
Where it is kept and who can see it
Waitlist entries and visit counts are stored in Par5’s own database, hosted by Supabase in the United States. Only Par5 administrators can read them. The company that hosts this website may keep standard request logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it for anything other than the purposes above.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it to run the Founding 500 waitlist.
Your choices
To see, correct or remove your waitlist entry, or to stop marketing email, write to [email protected] from the address you signed up with.
Children
The waitlist is not for children under 13. Please don’t join if you are under 13.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top. Signups record the version of the form’s wording they agreed to.
